Removing Mould from a Manhole

Removing mould from a manhole (or anything else that may live in damp, moist areas) is as simple as spraying, waiting and wiping with 30 Seconds Mould Off. For this particular project we’re using 30 Seconds because the area is indoors and is not going to be repainted. If it were being repainted we'd recommend something like Mould Action Pre-paint Treatment.

30 Seconds Mould Off is a fast application and fast results cleaner that is used to treat and remove mould and mildew from hard surfaces inside and around the home. It hygienically cleans, sanitizes and deodorizes surfaces. It can be used to clean wood, painted walls, window sills, tiles, tile grout, showers, shower doors and manholes just to name a few. Unlike bleach, 30 Seconds Mould Off will also kill mould spores, providing a more permanent solution to cleaning mould in your home.

There are many different types of mould removing products on the market. Some are suitable to areas you plan on painting whilst others aren’t. Before tackling a project like this, make sure you contact your nearest Inspirations Paint store and speak with our expert staff about the specific details of your paint project so that you are using the correct type of mould removal.

When you’ve figured out which product is going to suit your project best, it’s usually a simple case of spray, wait and wipe.

Shake well before spraying and spray on generously.

The longer you wait, the more opportunity the solution has to reach deeper into the surface. Typically, you want to be waiting at least 5 minutes. Just always remember to read the label and use your own discretion.

Wipe down with a damp cloth and leave to dry.

Now your area should be mould free. Simple as that.
